IS AN EFFICIENT ACIDIFIER FOR POULTRY FEED
The poultry digestive system differs significantly from that of the pig and this combined with the strong buffering capacity of poultry feed, result in a somewhat reduced antimicrobial efficiency of organic acids in the gastrointestinal tract of poultry.
Borregaard LignoTech has developed SoftAcid V, a product that contains organic acids, lignosulphonic acid and selected natural polyphenols, which possess both antioxidant and antibacterial properties. It also improves protein utilization and therefore increases N uptake (reduced ammonia emissions).
