SOFTACID SILAGE

SOFTACID SILAGE

LOW CORROSION SILAGE ADDITIVE

Silage is a cost effective way of preserving grass to feed, but if not done correctly, poor quality feed will be the result. It is important to optimize the conditions, in order to keep the protein balance in the milk. SoftAcid Silage is an acid based silage additive consisting of formic acid, propionic acid and lignosulphopic acid. The presence of lignosulphonic acid lowers the aggressive nature of the organic acids, leading to reduced corrosion. SoftAcid Silage provides a fast but controlled pH drop favourable to the lactic acid bacteria naturally present in the grass silage. The result is a good balance between lactic acid and sugar in the feed, hence the best possible silage quality throughout the storage period. SoftAcid P+ is an efficient product for corn silage.
