Responding to strong feed enzyme sales growth and increased demand for near-infrared reflectance (NIR) solutions,AB Vista and sister companyAunir have restructured and expanded their teams to better serve customers across Asia.The changes will see M.Y. Tan move from AB Vista to Aunir, leveraging his years of experience in Asia’s animal feed sector to expand the provision of the company’s NIR spectroscopy solutions across the region. Tan joined AB Vista in 2007, and has worked as regional sales director Asia Pacific for the past seven years.AB Vista’s Asia Pacific activities have been split into two separate regions – North Asia and Southeast Asia – after exceptional sales growth during recent years, and two new members of staff have been appointed to support current business activity and expected future expansion.The new role of technical sales director North Asia will be filled by Yingjun (Y.J.) Ru, who will be based in Singapore and will oversee all AB Vista’s commercial activities in Korea, Japan and the increasingly important market of China.Ru joins AB Vista from Danisco Animal Nutrition (DuPont), having previously worked as a research scientist in pig nutrition at the South Australia Research and Development Institute. Many years of experience in the utilization of feed enzymes and betaine in China and North Asia is backed by a PhD from the University of Adelaide.AB Vista’s business in the remainder of the region will be looked after by Glenda Leong, who fills the second new position as business director Southeast Asia.Leong takes up her new position after three years as a business unit director in Asia for feed ingredients business Provimi, part of the Cargill group of companies. Previous work includes a sales management role with Adisseo, and business development and company director experience outside the animal feed industry.
